Blackberry 7290 Review

Blackberry 7290 Review
The Blackberry 7290, one of the Blackberry 7200 series PDA's, is a beautiful elegant PDA with a built-in GSM cell phone (suitable for roaming between North America, Europe and Asia Pacific).

This cool PDA is voice enabled and has Bluetooth® support for hands-free voice communications. If you prefer to use your fingers, a 33 key PC-like QWERTY keyboard is all there for you. It features the known Blackberry trackwheel so you can easily and quickly navigate between menus on its display screen.

Speaking of the screen, the Blackberry 7290 has a backlit sharp 240x160 with over 65,000 colors display. Great for any application you need. And it supports many applications with a solid Java™ platform. The built-in email client can open standard attachments for you, so you don't have to install any additional software to read your emails.

The RIM BlackBerry 7290's lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 4 hours of digital talk time, and up to 9 days of digital standby time. That's actually not as long as other Blackberry 7200 models with the Blackberry 7230 and Blackberry 7280 having slightly longer battery life. However, it does have more memory, double than that of the 7230 and 7280, with 32 MB of Flash memory and 4MB of SRAM, more than making up for the slightly shorter battery life.
